How to Test Your Gamepad Tester
  1. Plug your controller into a USB port or connect it via Bluetooth.
  2. Press any button on the controller to wake up the browser Gamepad API.
  3. Leave the thumbsticks untouched in resting position. If the coordinates deviate significantly from (0.000, 0.000) or drift outside the deadzone circle, your controller has stick drift.
  4. Squeeze the LT and RT triggers smoothly from 0% to 100% to test analog potentiometer range.
  5. Click 'Test Vibration Motors' to check dual-motor rumble.
Browser API Precision & Limitations

Controller mapping depends on OS drivers and Bluetooth stack; dual-motor vibration depends on browser support.

Standard note: A passing test confirms your operating system and browser receive valid hardware event signals. It does not replace physical laboratory calibration.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
01.If the controller isn't detected, ensure you have clicked or pressed a button on the controller AFTER loading the page (browsers do not report controllers without user interaction).
02.Ensure Steam is not intercepting gamepad inputs in the background via Steam Input desktop configuration.
03.If stick drift is within ±0.05, that is normal mechanical tolerance and can be handled by setting a standard in-game deadzone.
