How to Test Your Speaker & Tone Test
  1. Ensure your computer or external speaker volume is set to a moderate level before playing.
  2. Click 'Play Sound Tone' to generate a reference 440 Hz pitch.
  3. Slide the frequency control between 60 Hz and 12,000 Hz to check full-range response.
  4. Run the 20Hz - 20kHz Sweep to test if your speakers rattle, buzz, or distort at specific frequencies.
Browser API Precision & Limitations

Browser cannot detect if the physical speaker actually produces acoustic pressure without external feedback.

Standard note: A passing test confirms your operating system and browser receive valid hardware event signals. It does not replace physical laboratory calibration.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
01.If no sound is heard, verify your OS default output playback device in sound settings.
02.Check that external audio amplifiers or headphones aren't muted.
03.Ensure your browser tab isn't muted (look for the small speaker icon on the tab title).
